Street photography can also be a record of our everyday lives, how we interact with society and each other in our surroundings. These interactions become manifest in the buildings we make, the clothes we wear, how we engage with each other and the attention we pay to one another, all of which change over time.

These can also be influenced by our view of the world, that can equally be either long term and informed, or a reaction to a particular moment or snapshot in time, when we perceive things both as a society and as individuals through different perspectives. Perhaps because of the seasonal changes, the particular view in architecture - a new town planning style or buildings that determines how are streets are laid out, what is on them and our physical proximity to friends and strangers alike. Alternatively, we as individuals may be rushing to get somewhere, or we’re happy and taking our time, or somehow otherwise preoccupied. All these factors inform how we construct, layout, behave, dress and react with and to each other in the social and public spaces we occupy.

These influences can inform and determine our behaviours with each other, they can be wonderful or unexpected, harsh or predictable, and they are often the greatest testament to our true nature, and the most beauty in the unguarded, candid moments.
